Date: September 12, 2008 Category: Criminal Charges: On the evening of Sept 12, 2008, I was working as a bartender at the Luna Mansion at 110 Mains St., Los Lunas, Valencia County, NM. I was helping my parents who owned the Luna Mansion at that time. I was licensed under the Liquor Act to serve alcohic beverages. There were supposed to be two bartenders at work that night but the other bartender didn't show up for work. It was crowded and I was having a hard time keeping up with the drink orders. I took an order for an alcoholic drink from a young lady at the bar in the Los Lunas Mansion. I checked her identification, a New Mexico driver's license, but it just didn't register to me that she was about a month shy of being twenty-one. I prepared the drink and served it to her and collected the money. A policeman then arrested me for serving an alcoholic beverage to a minor. I can't explain why her age didn't register when I checked her identification. As soon as the police came up to me I realized what I had done. Disposition: Dismissed
