Date: February 09, 2009 Category: Financial Type: Bankruptcy Disposition: Discharged Broker Comment: AT THE END OF 2008 WHEN THE MARKET CRASHED, MY HUSBAND AND I FOUND OURSELVES IN AN AWFUL SITUATION WHERE WE COULD NO LONGER AFFORD TO PAY FOR OUR HOUSE OR BILLS. WE HAD BEEN RELYING HEAVILY ON MY COMMISSIONS AS A LOAN OFFICER WHICH BECAME NONEXISTENT. WE TRIED EVERYTHING TO STAY AFLOAT BUT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL WE VISITED OUR ATTORNEY AND HE SAID THAT BANKRUPTCY IS NOT A SIN, AND WE SHOULDN'T BE ASHAMED OF IT. IT IS IN FACT A FINANCIAL REMEDY, SOMETHING THAT WE DESPERATELY NEEDED. THE SEVERITY OF THE SITUATION FORCED US TO FILE BANKRUPTCY. SINCE THEN, WE'VE WORKED TIRELESSLY TO RECOVER AND IMPROVE OUR CREDIT. AND IT IS OUR COMMITMENT TO LEARN AND APPLIED EVERYTHING WE LEARNED FROM THE EXPERIENCE SO WE NEVER FALL INTO THIS TRAP AGAIN!
