AFTER PURCHASING SEVERAL DIFFERENT INVESTMENTS, IN NOV 2000 THE CLIENT PLACED AN UNSOLICITED ORDER FOR A TECHNOLOGY MUTUAL FUND. A DAY AFTER THE PURCHASE, THE MARKET RAPIDLY DECLINED CAUSING THE FUND VALUE TO DROP, AT WHICH TIME THE CLIENT DENIED PURCHASING THE FUND. RATHER THAN CANCELING THE TRADE, I THOUGHT THE MARKET WOULD COME BACK, THUS INCREASING THE FUND VALUE; IT DID NOT. AFTER 5 YRS THE FUND WAS EVENTUALLY SOLD FOR A 45K LOSS; THE CLIENT THREATENED A LAWSUIT AND I ATTEMPTED TO RESOLVE THE MATTER WITHOUT BD INTERACTION WHICH WAS A MISTAKE. CURRENTLY I AM DISCUSSING A SETTLEMENT WITH THE CLIENT.
