Broker Comment: IN 2007, I STARTED MY OWN REAL ESTATE FIRM AND TOOK OUT AN UNSECURED LOAN FROM A LOCAL BANK. WHEN THE REAL ESTATE MARKET CRASHED, MY BUSINESS WAS NO LONGER VIABLE AND I WAS UNABLE TO PAY THE LOAN BACK WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR ANOTHER JOB. IN 2012, THE BANK APPROACHED ME WITH A COMPROMISE TO WHICH I AGREED. I HAVE BEEN SLOWLY CHIPPING AWAY AT THE AMOUNT AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO PAY IT IN ITS EB=NTIRETY BY MAY 17, 2014.

Broker Comment: I WAS IN THE REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY IN HILTON HEAD SC DURING THE REAL ESTATE CRASH OF 2008/2009 AND MY WIFE WAS A STAY AT HOME MOM WITH 2 SMALL CHILDREN. WE HAD TO RE LOCATE IN ORDER TO FIND JOBS. WE TRIED TO SELL OUR HOME FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND IT WOULD NOT APPRAISE FOR WHAT WE OWED. WE TRIED TO WORK WITH BANK OF AMERICA TO DO A HOME MODIFICATION BUT BECAUSE WE WERE NOT LIVING THERE THEY WERE UN WILLING TO WORK WITH US. THEY SUGGESTED WE DO A SHORT SALE AND THATS THE BEST COURSE THAT WE COULD DO.

Broker Comment: I BOUGHT A HOME FOR MY MOTHER-IN-LAW TO HELP HER AND HER HUSBAND OUT UNTIL THEY GOT BACK ON THEIR FEET. MY FATHER-IN-LAW DIED UNEXPECTEDLY OF A BRAIN TUMOR DURING THIS TIME AND MY MOTHER-IN-LAW WAS LET GO OF HER JOB AT THE CHURCH SO SHE WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO MAKE PAYMENTS. SHE MOVED TO A DIFFERENT CITY. THIS OCCURRED AFTER THE REAL ESTATE CRASH OF 2008 SO THE HOME VALUE WAS BELOW THE PRICE WE BOUGHT IT AND WE HAD TO DO A SHORT SALE.
