GRADUATING COLLEGE IN THE SPRING OF 2010, I FOUND WHAT WE WOULD ASSUME WOULD BE A GREAT CAREER TO SUPPORT US FOR THE NEXT 8 TO 10 YEARS. UNFORTUNATELY, DUE TO LACK OF WORK, I WAS LAID OFF IN DECEMBER 2011. BETWEEN DECEMBER 2011 AND AUGUST 2012, I WAS IN AND OUT OF POSITIONS. ONE POSITION I LEFT BECAUSE THE COMPANY I WAS WORKING FOR WAS NOT OPERATING ETHICALLY AND RESPONSIBLY. THE DECISION AFFECTED OUR INCOME, BUT IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. ULTIMATELY THIS DECISION LED TO MY WIFE AND I FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY, AS OUR PERSONAL SAVINGS CARRIED ONLY SO FAR.
