ON JUNE 8, 2012A APPLIED FOR AN INSTALLMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE IRS FOR A CERTIFICATE OF DISCHARGE OF PROPERTY FROM THE FEDERAL TAX LIEN. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2012, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE CERTIFICATEOF DISCHARGE WAS ISSUED, RELEASING THIS PROPERTY FROM THE LIEN AND ALLOWING ME TO SELL THE PROPERTY. I SIGNED AN INSTALLMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE IRS FOR THE AMOUNT OF $7,109.82 OF WHICH $2,796.40 IS STILL OWED. I REACHED OUT TO THE IRS FOR CLARIFICATION AND THEY STATED THAT THE LIEN WAS REMOVED IN 2012 AND COULD NOT EXPLAIN WHY THE RECORDS SHOWED OTHERWISE. I WAS INSTRUCTED TO FILE ANOTHER CERTIFICATE OF DISCHARGEWHICH I DID. THE UNDERWRITER OF MY CASE [THIRD PARTY] INFORMED ME THAT THE PROCESS COULD TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS TO BE RESOLVED.
