Date: July 22, 1999 Category: Criminal Charges: FRAUDULENT CHECK Disposition: Convicted Broker Comment: In June of 1999 I wrote a check in the amount of 31.27 to the town of Williston, SC for my water bill. I inadvertently wrote this check on an account that I had recently closed. The ten day letter notifying me of insufficient funds was sent to my previous address printed on the check (Edgefield, SC). I did not realize the check had bounced until after charges had been issued for fraudulent check. As soon as I was aware I went to town hall, pled guilty, paid for the check plus fees, and was fined 68.96 which I paid and the matter was closed.
