Client alleges that the RR forged paperwork in order to establish an account and place a mutual fund transaction. Client alleges that he was not aware that he was purchasing a mutual fund. Damage Amount Requested: $576.00 Broker Comment: After review, the Firm determined that the client's claims were without merit. Client signed and submitted required account documents and product disclosures; funds were deposited to account via check from former IRA custodian, as arranged by client; and, transaction confirmation clearly identifying mutual fund purchase was sent to client.
Date: October 22, 2003 Category: Criminal Charges: PETTY THEFT Broker Comment: While I was in college, I was out with some people at a bar. At some point in the night an acquaintance grabbed a bottle of alcohol from behind the bar but was seen by a staff member. As we attempted to leave the bar we were detained by security and help until the police arrived. All of us were charged with the offense. The case was closed and final without complications.
