RELIASTAR NOW HAS REFUSED TO ASSUME THE LOAN, FORCING THE CLIENT TO DECLARE THIS LOAN AS TAXABLE INCOME. DAMAGES ARE ESTIMATED TO BE WELL ABOVE $5000.00 Settlement Amount: $42,361.00 Broker Comment: OUR INVESTIGATION DETERMINED THIS EVENT WAS AN UNFORTUNATE ERROR THAT OCCURED IN THE CLIENTS ACCOUNT. WITHOUT ACCEPTING LIABILITY FOR THE EVENT, AND IN AN EFFORT TO MAINTAIN GOOD RELATIONS WITH THE CUSTOMER, THE FIRM AGREED TO SETTLE THE MATTER WITH THE CLIENT FOR THE DAMAGES HE SUFFERED.
