THE DAY OF GRADUATION, WE WENT TO THE MALL. MY ONE FRIEND WAS KEEPING HIS WALLET KEYS AND PHONE IN MY PURSE. AT ONE POINT, HE ASKED FOR MY PURSE SO HE COULD HAVE HIS THINGS. WHEN WE LEFT THE STORE, WE WERE STOPPED BY SECURITY, AND SURE ENOUGH SUNGLASSES, SMALL CLOTHING ITEMS AND SOME JEWELRY WERE FOUND IN MY PURSE. IT WAS OVER $200, WHICH IS GRAND LARCENY IN THE STATE OF VA, BUT WHEN I EXPLAINED MY SITUATION AND SMALL ROLE IN THE THEIF, THEY REDUCED THE CHARGE TO A MISDEMEANOR. SINCE THEN, I HAVE NOT HAD ANY RUN-IN'S WITH THE LAW, AND HAVE GRADUATED FROM A 4 YEAR UNIVERSITY AS A CAPTAIN ON THE VARSITY TRACK & FIELD TEAM. NOW I PLAN TO BEGIN MY CAREER AS A FINANCIAL ADVISOR AND HOPE THAT PEOPLE TRUST I AM NOT THE PERSON MY CRIMINAL RECORD SUGGESTS I AM.
