THE ELEVATOR WAS IN A CONDOMINIUM COMPLEX WHERE MYFAMILY HAD PURCHASED BUT NOT YET OCCUPIED AN APARTMENT. IINTENDED TO RETURN THE PAINTING TO THE ELEVATOR AFTER A PARTYIN OUR APARTMENT, BUT LOCKED THE PAINTING AND KEYS IN THEAPARTMENT. THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT HEARD NOISE COMING FROM OURUNOCCUPIED APARTMENT AND CALLED THE POLICE. THE NEXT DAY ADISPOSITION WAS AS DETAILED ABOVE.
