I THOUGHT (AND ASSUMED) I HAD COMPLETED ALL TRAINING AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS AND DONE EVERYTHING BY THE BOOKS WHILE I WAS THERE. BLACKHORSE EVEN HAD A "COMPLIANCE OFFICER", ALEXIS APONTE, WHOSE SOLE JOB WAS TO MAKE SURE WE WERE PROPERLY LICENSED IN EVERY STATE IN WHICH WE WERE DOING BUSINESS. THIS WAS A COMMISSION-ONLY JOB AND WE WERE NOT PAID IF ANYTHING WAS OUT OF COMPLIANCE AND I WAS PAID PROMPTLY FOR EVERY LOAN I ORIGINATED DURING THE TIME I WORKED THERE. I FOUND AT LEAST 14 OTHER FELLOW CO-WORKERS WHO FACED ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION FROM THAT INVESTIGATION.
