CUSTOMER ENDED UP CONTINUING THE ANNUITY CONTRACT IN HIS NAME AND NOW REQUESTS THAT HE BE ALLOWED TO MOVE THE FUNDS WITH SURRENDER CHARGES WAIVED. Broker Comment: THE COMPLAINT WAS SETTLED BY REVERSING THE REREGRISTRATION OF THE VARIABLE ANNUITY, THUS PLACING THE VARIABLE ANNUITY BACK INTO THE CUSTOMERS' LATE WIFE'S NAME. THE CUSTOMER NOW HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE HIS OPTIONS WITH RESPECT TO THE ANNUITY. WHILE THE CUSTOMER INITIALLY INDICATED HE WAS INTERESTED IN TRANSFERRING THE DEATH PROCEEDS FROM THE ANNUITY TO AN IRA WITH ANOTHER INSTITUTION, HE HAS NOW INDICATED HE MAY WANT TO PUT THE ANNUITY IN HIS NAME, ESSENTIALLY CHOOSING THE OPTION THAT WAS SELECTED AT THE OUTSET.
