IN JANUARY 2011 OUR SON WAS BORN WHICH INCREASED OUR EXPENSES SIGNIFICANTLY- WE HAD BEEN TOLD WE WERE UNABLE TO HAVE CHILDREN. WE CHOSE TO HAVE MY HUSBAND STAY AT HOME TO DECREASE CHILDCARE EXPENSES, BUT OUR HOME-BASED BUSINESS HAD NOT YET REPLACED THE INCOME FROM HIS JOB. AS SUCH, WE CHOSE TO SELL OUR AZ HOME AND MOVE TO MI TO LIVE WITH FAMILY TO REDUCE OUR LIVING EXPENSES. WE HAVE FURTHER REDUCED EXPENSES BY ELIMINATING ENTERTAINMENT AND OTHER EXTRAS. BY APRIL OF 2011 WE HAD MOVED TO CASH ONLY AND WERE NO LONGER INCURRING FURTHER DEBT. UNFORTUNATELY, THE DEBTS WE HAD ACCRUED PROVED TO BE MORE THAN WE COULD RETIRE AND WE PETITIONED FOR BANKRUPTCY IN APRIL 2012. WE CONTINUE TO LIVE WITH REDUCED EXPENSES AND HAVE LEARNED A GREAT DEAL ABOUT MONEY MANAGEMENT. WE CURRENTLY LIVE BELOW OUR MEANS AND ARE BEGINNING TO REBUILD OUR CREDIT SCORES.
