Damage Amount Requested: $210,000.00 Settlement Amount: $120,000.00 Broker Comment: IT WAS SETTLED FOR A PAYMENT OF $120,000 -HOWEVER SEVERAL OF THE PARTNERSHIPS WHICH STILL HAVE THOUSANDSOF DOLLARS OF VALUE WERE RETURNED TO MERRILL TO DECREASE THEABOVE AMOUNT. THIS TOTAL HAS NEVER BEEN TOLD TO ME.MY CAPACITY DURING THE ENTIRE PERIOD DISCUSSED BY[CUSTOMER'S] COMPLAINT, WHICH COVERED SEVERAL YEARS, WAS THAT OFA NON-PRODUCING RESIDENT MANAGER FOR MERRILL LYNCH. I THEREFORERECEIVED NO COMPENSATION FOR ANY OF THE LIMITED PARTNERSHIPSTHAT HE PURCHASED. WE ARE STILL FRIENDS AND HAVE BEEN FOR OVER13 YEARS. HIS MAIN CONCERN WAS ALWAYS POOR PERFORMANCE WHICHCAUSED REDUCED CASH FLOW.
