(ACTIVITY OCCURRED IN 1999). Damage Amount Requested: $10,000.00 Broker Comment: I DENY THESE ALLEGATIONS. DURING THE PERIOD ADDRESSED IN HIS LETTER TO A.G. EDWARDS, THE CUSTOMER WAS RECEIVING WEEKLY NEWSLETTERS ADVISING TRADES IN PENNY STOCKS, PRECIOUS METALS AND OPTIONS WHICH I FELT WERE INAPPROPRIATE FOR HIM BASED ON HIS INCOME, NET WORTH AND INVESTMENT EXPERIENCE. IN LATE 1999 / EARLY 2000, THE CUSTOMER CAME INTO OUR OFFICE FREQUENTLY, USUALLY CARRYING THE LATEST COPY OF A PENNY-STOCK NEWSLETTER OR A CASSETTE TAPE WITH TRADING/INVESTING ADVICE, WHICH HE WANTED ME TO REVIEW AND CONSIDER. I POLITELY GAVE HIM MY OPINION A FEW TIMES, AND ULTIMATELY TOLD HIM THAT WASN'T THE KIND OF BUSINESS WE WERE INTERESTED IN DOING AND SUGGESTED HE STICK WITH THE INVESTMENTS WE HAD CHOSEN. AT NO TIME DID I REFUSE TO TRANSFER HIS ACCOUNTS OUT OF A.G. EDWARDS AND AT NO TIME DID WE RECEIVE TRANSFER PAPERWORK FROM ANY OTHER INSTITUTION.
