Damage Amount Requested: $395,786.75 Settlement Amount: $139,650.00 Broker Comment: Client contacted advisor to schedule an appointment to rollover his retirement plans in April 2012. During the meeting, three potential options were discussed and explained thoroughly to the client. Client decided on a variable annuity with guaranteed death and guaranteed income benefits for both of his and his wife's lifetime. This option was chosen as it was most similar to his KPERS plan. In 2016, the client needed to withdrawal funds and became upset when it was discovered that there was no balance left as the funds had been rolled over in 2012 per his request.
