I WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM TO RECEIVE CARE. AT THE TIME, I WAS INSURED WITH A HIGH DEDUCTIBLE INSURANCE POLICY THAT I HAD SIGNED UP FOR ONLY A FEW MONTHS PRIOR. I RECEIVED A LETTER A FEW MONTHS LATER THAT MY INSURANCE COMPANY WAS DROPPING ME AND REFUSED TO PAY FOR MY EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT, AND TESTS, ETC. DUE TO THE HARDSHIP OF THE MEDICAL BILLS THAT INSUED BECAUSE OF THIS ACCIDENT, I GOT BEHIND ON MY OTHER BILLS AS WELL AS THE HOSPITAL BILLS THAT HAD BEGAN TO PILE UP. I DECIDED THAT A BANKRUPTCY WAS A WISE CHOICE FOR ME BECAUSE EVEN PAYMENT PLANS WERE TOO OVERWHELMING FOR ME TO HANDLE SINCE I WAS ATTENDING SCHOOL STILL, AND ONLY WORKING PART-TIME. THE BANKRUPTCY INCLUDED VARIOUS BILLS, BUT I DID DO REAFFIRMATIONS AGREEMENTS FOR MY LARGE DEBTS, SINCE I FELT RESPONSIBLE FOR MY DEBT AND WANTED TO CONTINUE TO PAY FOR THINGS MYSELF. I HAD ALWAYS FOUND THAT PRIOR TO BEING DROPPED BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY, I WAS ABLE TO KEEP UP ON MY BILLS AND I WAS RESPONSIBLE WITH MONEY.
